Natural Pigments

• Blue & Black (Cosmic background, space, divine aura): Made from indigo plant and burnt coconut shells (lamp soot)

• Gold (Divine light, celestial elements): Extracted from gold leaf or yellow ochre mixed with haritala mineral

• White (Sacred symbols, stars, divine forms): Ground from conch shells

• Red (Divine markings, borders, deities): From hingula (cinnabar)

• Yellow (Solar energy, light radiating from the Lord): From turmeric or haritala mineral

• Green (Earth, nature, balance in the universe): Made from leaf extracts like neem or spinach

• Brown (Earth, stability): From natural clay or bark powder

All colors are mixed with tamarind seed gum, creating a smooth, natural binder that ensures the longevity and vibrancy of the pigments.

• Brushes made with squirrel or mongoose hair, attached to thin bamboo sticks

• Used for:

  • Fine detailing of cosmic patterns, divine forms, and intricate symbols

  • Delicate outlines for the representation of the universe and divine energy flows

  • Ornamental borders and sacred motifs
